In 1931, Porsche was founded in Germany by Professor Ferdinand Porsche. The companys first was to build a car for the people, a ‘Volkswagen’ , which was ordered by the German government. The first car to bear the name Porsche 64, which was developed in 1939.

Houses are very important places.
Some people can afford very big ones or small ones.
Some have no upstairs, some have one downstairs, and one upstairs.
Some houses have one downstairs and two upstairs.
A house with one downstairs and one upstairs is called two story house.
A house with no upstairs is called a bungalow.
A house with one downstairs and two upstairs is called a three story house.
Some people insure their house so if anything happens to their house it will be fixed.
Some people live in Apartments there is lots of people who live in apartments.
The building is like a house except it is much bigger and much taller. |n some countries apartment buildings have over 20 floors. The top floor is usually a huge penthouse, these are very posh. Some have rooftop gardens and pools.

In 1878 a German engineer named Nikolaus Otto built a new kind of engine that did not need steam.
In 1887 an inventor called Karl Benz built the first car. The first car that was made was called the motorwagon and had no roof.
But, it only went 200 or 300 miles before needing a service now our cars go over 30,000 miles
Now people never make motorwagons anymore.
They did not cost much but in them days they cost alot.
For my summer holidays I went to Oatfields in Wexford. It is a mobile home site. We have a mobile home there. They do lots of activitie there and have a hut to watch DVDs and play games in.
It has two tennis courts, an all weather football pitch, a basket ball court, soccer pitch and a huge play ground. It is very tidy and there is lots of flowers everywhere. There is also a pitch and put course beside the site.
All of the mobile homes are very neat and tidy. There is a baby playground and it is very clean. The site is very big, it has over 200 mobile homes.
They have a kids club where people come down and do activities with us, such as painting, football, basket ball, rounders, games, cooking lessons and discos. There is lots of children in the site.
There is a shop called Lawlors down the road from the site and in the other direction is the village called Kilmuckridge. The beach is about a 20 minutes walk but only minutes in a car.
The beach is really clean and there is a huge hill called Big Daddy. I have made lots of new friends in Wexford but I wont mention any names. You know who you are
